On site, our teams coordinate trades, logistics, and building systems integration with particular attention to health & safety, maintaining detailed schedules, closely monitor costs & changes, providing transparent reporting so you always understand progress and can make timely decisions.

Project Management
Eastern Construction manages projects through an open and collaborative process that is centred on clear communication with our owner's, consultants, and trade partners.
We establish early alignment on key objectives, maintain open and clear communication through regular touchpoints, transparent reporting, and responsive site leadership so that information flows efficiently, decisions are made quickly, and projects are delivered safely, on time, and with consistently high quality.

Schedule Control
Eastern’s approach to scheduling is structured, collaborative, and used as a primary control tool for both planning and decision making.
Eastern develops a single, comprehensive Master Control Schedule, that integrates preconstruction, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, handover, and closeout.

Cost Control
As conceptual budgeting begins during preconstruction, Eastern, in consultation with the client and the design team, determines the optimal format for the Master Control Budget Breakdown to determine basic project phasing, which in turn informs our approach to formatting the budget and accounting for the various budget centers.

Value Engineering
Eastern's approach to budgeting is inseparable from value engineering. During the budgeting process, the estimating team identifies value engineering opportunities and brings these to the attention of stakeholders on a regular basis. As value engineering ideas are accepted, the budget is updated.

Subcontractor Selection & Management
During preconstruction, Eastern develops a procurement and tendering strategy that protects our clients’ interests by clearly defining scopes, identifying risks early, and minimizing changes after award, leveraging a large, prequalified pool of long-standing trade partners selected through a structured evaluation process.
Once contracts are awarded, we manage trades through clear expectations, detailed lookahead schedules, and regular coordination meetings, supported by proactive risk management and an open-book approach that provides clients with full visibility into pricing, scope, and value opportunities.

Risk Management
Throughout preconstruction, Eastern identifies and quantifies risk and its impact on quality and schedule, conducts regular peer reviews by Executive Leadership Team facilitated by the Executive Project Lead, and conducts reviews with project stakeholders at key milestones including schematic design, design development, and construction documents. The Risk Management process continues throughout construction, until all potential risks have been resolved and addressed.

Quality Management
Eastern initiates the Quality Program following award of contract and formally mobilizes the project team, identifying the specific responsibilities and authority assigned to each member. The Project Director takes a lead role in Quality Assurance by reviewing all deliverables prior to issuance to the client. Senior Management utilizes the Quality Plan as a tool to audit and track performance. Every deliverable produced by Eastern is reviewed by Senior Management prior to issuance.
