Eastern announces the retirement of one of our most influential, impactful leaders and mentor, Bryan Arnold, GSC, Vice President

Toronto, ON, February 25, 2026

For over 47 years, Bryan has been key figure in Eastern’s operational & strategic success, his expertise, leadership, and innovation have been truly inspiring.

During his tenure at Eastern, Bryan has played a critical role in building many iconic, complex, and unique facilities. His reputation for building successful, sustainable, and lasting partnerships with clients, architects, and subcontractors have made Eastern a valued and trusted construction partner. An early champion for mass timber construction, he was central to expanding our presence into the mass timber sector with 80 Atlantic, the first mass timber building built within the GTA in over 100 years.

From field engineer to President and Chief Executive Officer, Bryan has worked on many iconic & landmark projects for Eastern including legacy projects like the Roy Thompson Hall, CBC Broadcast Centre, Metro Toronto Convention Centre South Hall, Sunlife Centre, National Ballet School of Canada, 80 Atlantic, Toronto Metropolitan University Daphne Cockwell Health Sciences Complex, and the TRCA Administrative Office Building – only a handful of his expansive project portfolio.

Bryan’s contributions have also made an impact across the construction industry serving as Chairman of the OGCA, Chairman of the Construction Employers Coordinating Council of Ontario, a Member of the Construction Labour Relations Association of Ontario, Toronto Section, a Member of the Provincial Apprenticeship General Carpenters Advisory Committee, Director of Skills Ontario, as well as a recipient of the Toronto Construction Association Bob Rae Award.

Bryan was instrumental in preparing and mentoring a coordinated succession plan through his invaluable leadership which will ensure Eastern’s legacy continues to grow. Please join us in thanking him for his service. We will certainly miss you, and we hope you enjoy your future adventures with your family during your retirement.
