We remember Renato (Tac) Taconelli
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Renato (Tac) Tacconelli, who left us too soon on June 3, 2025, leaving the world dimmer.
Having spent his 45-year career with Eastern, Tac worked on many iconic and landmark projects across Ontario, but it is his giant presence, wisdom, and kindness that has made a lasting impact on our organization and on so many of us personally – he will be greatly missed. It was a privilege and an honour for anyone who knew and worked with Tac, he was the definition of a leader, mentor, and friend.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, & colleagues across the industry during this difficult time.

After months of construction, and over 2,700 pieces of mass timber later, T3 Bayside has topped off! To celebrate, the Eastern team signed the last beam hoisted on site. Once completed, this office building will be the tallest commercial mass timber in North America.
